ok, I got this step.
now, decss is available in the web interface.
I started it.
Then I insert the protected DVD.
O!play thes me that it can not play the decripted content as posted by Farvoice.
The next step should be:
goto File Manager, select decss and press play

Which file manager is meant?

The filmanager, that I use to browse usb sticks and so on?
There is nothing that I could open......

But FarVoice wrote
Then, it's starts decss, and mount decripted DVD to /tmp/ramfs/volumes/decss (for R1/R3 FW) and to the first plugged device in /tmp/usbmounts to path decss (for HD2 FW)

When I browse these directories with ftp-client, I see no decss entry...
under /tmp/ramfs/volumes/ I find:
C:
D:
E:
F:

and
/tmp/usbmounts
is empty?

Any idea what I did wrong??

But I remarked somthing may be interesting.
When I start decss in the webinterface, then I find in the log:
"Load fuse driver...
Load isofs driver...
Starting cdd...
/usr/local/etc/mos/decss/cdd: can't load library 'libgcc_s.so.1'
Starting decss daemon...
"
seems that this library can not be loaded....

On HD2 FW you must plug any external device, e.g. Flash stick
And you may find descc in the root of this device.

Hej,

I hane an O!play Air with the original FW 1.21.P.

Got it working by reinstalling DECSS.

Just one additional question.
Everytime I reboot, decss daemon ist stopped and I have to launch it over the web interface.
Is thre any way to launch it automatically as autostart?

Try disable it, enable again and start. It's must starts automatically when player reboot.

Woohoo, me too 8-)

@moTeam,

Anyway we could ssh the o!play and wget mos_decss.zip, unzip it and then untar it?
I had to download it, unzip it, untar it and ftp/mput it into o!play.
But I guess there's now way around, right?
Cheers

PS: Too bad BluRay uses AACS instead of CSS. Say!!! Is there a DeAACS nifty tool out there??

Ok, 1st time I'm trying this and I have been trying all morning.
This is what I've done:
Downloaded mos_decss.zip from the site to my ~/Downloads folder.
I then unziped mos_decss.zip and got a nice mos_decss.tar.
Then I ftp'ed into my HDP-R1 and copied mos_decss.tar to my HDP-R1's /tmp folder.
You can see the log of events.
Code: Select all
[rds_correia@papti-laprdsx Downloads]$ ls mos*
mos_decss.tar
[rds_correia@papti-laprdsx Downloads]$ ftp 192.168.1.68
Connected to 192.168.1.68 (192.168.1.68).
220 Welcome to the Optware vsftp 2.2.2 daemon
Name (192.168.1.68:rds_correia): root
331 Please specify the password.
Password:
230 Login successful.
Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp> bin
200 Switching to Binary mode.
ftp> cd /tmp
250 Directory successfully changed.
ftp> mput mos_decss.tar
mput mos_decss.tar? y
227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,1,68,71,8).
150 Ok to send data.
226 Transfer complete.
1324032 bytes sent in 0.51 secs (2597.89 Kbytes/sec)
ftp> bye
221 Goodbye.

Then I untar'ed mos_decss.tar into my HDP-R1's /usr/local/ folder, as you can see here.
Code: Select all
BusyBox v1.1.3 (2010.06.24-09:31+0000) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

~ # cd /tmp
/tmp # tar xf mos_decss.tar -C /usr/local/
/tmp # cd /usr/local/etc/mos/decss/
/usr/local/etc/mos/decss # ls
cdd       control   decss     decss.sh  fuse.ko   ldconfig  lib
/usr/local/etc/mos/decss #

I then restarted my HDP-R1, opened my moS services panel and I can see a 'Decss daemon' started.
I picked my remote control and chose "Movies > USB > DVD > Play Disc" but I got no image, although I stood there for 5 minutes waiting.
Then I stopped, and went to "File Manager > DVD > Play Disc". Same result. blank screen although I waited for 5 minutes.
Then I stopped, and went to "NAS > XSPF Browser > USB drives" and ONLY THERE I found a /decss/ folder.
So I opened that folder and there was a /VIDEO_TS/ folder which I also opened AND it was empty :(.
All it had was a ".." folder (link to go to previous folder).
So I went back to "NAS > XSPF Browser > USB drives" and there was a /dvd2/video_ts/ folder too.
But this one was empty too :(.
I went back to the web browser moS panel and I stopped Decss daemon and started it back on again.
I repeated the process of trying to open a known good DVD but all I got were empty TV screens or empty video_ts folders (no VOBs).
Bu then I noticed some weird message overlayed on the we browser moS panel when I stopped/started the Decss daemon. It said:
Code: Select all
libdvdread: Error cracking CSS key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_05_1.VOB (0x00209f4e)!!

What could I be doing wrong?
Cheers

PS: I will add a video in 30 minutes.
