Is it possible to use irfake to emulate en button on the remote to go to dvd-menu while playing a dvd?
If yes, how should I do that?

On amp_r9_hd2 - yes. Code of DISK_MENU button is af50686c

Then what is the fun of that IRfake thingy?

And I already asked somewhere in another (huge) topic but what other benefits are there for using that AMp_r9 firmware?

To be honest I'm a bit afraid to start using it because of many questions on this forum regarding bricking the asus or other nasty things that happen. I mean... I'ld like to have some glitches solved, but I am not thát desperate

So... how risky is it?

if you have bootcode 18 or greater, you have no risks. At any time you can go back to the original FW , flash player via the reset button.

IBought this thing only a couple of weeks ago new from store. FW: 01.41P was installed on it, so I guess this bootcode thing will be OK. Need to find out yet how to check it.
