hard drive comptability issues with HDP-R1?

Hi.
I have an external 1 TB Samsung drive of model HD103SJ. ITs NTFS formatted and works great with my PC/ MAC but on the streamer its not even recognized.
I tried format it and I tried to create another partition, of FAT32 type and still no go.
Any reason why would that happen?

Prabably is not enough power supply for HDD. Try use extrnal power for HDD or use external 2,5" hdd's

It is 3.5" but of course i use the power supply
i found the issue finaly
sadly only after deleting the entire hard drive i realized i had to change it from GPT to MBR
that fixed the issue..took a minute
