one shell script, that sends Power button to DvdPlayer :) Like this:

Code: Select all
sleep 300
wget -q http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/IpodCGI.cgi?id=0&command=power -O /dev/null
ASUS O!Play R1 (amp_r12_vrtn), xTreamer Pro (amp_r12_vrt), xTreamer Prodigy (iNeXT 2.14 r2), IconBIT HDR12L (amp_r12_vrt), 3Q F425HW (xds42gl_7725_r3), MyGica A11 (mygica_m3_20121222)

Haha, okee, Farvoice this turns the player off after 5 minutes, regardless the activity.

How do you execute the shell script when the player is idle for 5 minutes?
or
How do you make a shell script abort when the player is active?

On script impossible to check players's activity :( Sorry.
But maybe try to analyze an CPU capacity...

What about irfake, can I read ir-commands from within a script?

My problrm is that after powerloss the player automatically starts. I turn off the power every night, and turn IT back on every morning. But I dont want the player to turn on when I dont use it.
