Thanks for the quick reply but when I reinstalled Asus FW I reflashed by using the reset button and pulling the power plug. I've tried 1.09, .18, .21 and .23. Maybe it's hardware problem? The network light is not coming on when it boots up.

Thanks

I don't get a telnet prompt on 192.168.0.9 (this is the IP address that I can see in serial output) so I believe the telnet services on my player are not running. What can be a fix for this?

2 annoying bugs:

In the newer official firmwares (1.33, 1.40, etc.) when coming across VIDEO_TS folders or BDMV you'd be prompted with the option of playing as a disc with menus. It doesn't do that now. I read someone saying this is only for over the network videos but for me it's for both, local (USB) and network. Basically, the feature has been removed completely which is very unfortunate as that is a VERY good feature and the main reason why I bought the O!Play. And I play everything over the lan anyway so even if it did work locally it'd be useless to me.

Also, when changing the subtitle sync (during movie playback) from 0 to, for example, -300 msec it doesn't save the change. The other columns, subtitle.srt, font size, etc. save just fine.

And, it'd be nice if we could set a global setting that would play subs on automatically (if found) or not, with the default being off. This is just a feature request but not nearly as important as the bugs above.

It's too bad this firmware isn't maintained anymore. I know this because I mentioned the 1st bug a few years ago and it's still not fixed.

For HD2 owners: I signed firmware, and now you can flash it via menu Setup - Firmware Upgrade

And? Correct flashing FW or no? If player hold on "Prepare..." you have a broken bootcode and you must execute the procedures from head of topic.
