If you are using Vista or Windows 7, you need to enable telnet first. Go to "control panel" then "programs and features" then click on "turn windows features on or off" and check the box "telnet client".

Then you run command prompt and type telnet followed by your Oplay ip address. Example telnet 192.168.0.102

For the login type root

Hi guys.
I have an ASUS O!Play HDP-R3 Air. I'd like to know what's the advantage of using HD2 firmware on HDP-R3. My media box has Wi-Fi while HD2 hasn't. Using the firmware from HD2, will disable Wi-Fi on my machine?
Thanx.

In main menu press on remote control buttons Stop then Play, you'll see the screen with the system information and boot in it.

I have successfully upgrade the bootcode. I have a small problem, and wish someone can help me. My original box is NTSC system, I use a HDMI cable to connect the box to my TV, which is a sony 32 LCD. After the upgrade, when I choose HDMI auto in the image setting of the box, it works fine. However, once I turn off the box, and turn on again, the menu of the box shows for 2-3 seconds then disappeared, and the TV shows no signal. I will have to unplug the power cord of the box, and plug it back, then it works again. But once I switched off the box, I will have to unplug the power cord in order to make it work. The only way to avoid unpluging the power cord is to set to NTSC. However, if I set to NTSC, I can not get the high resolution, like 720p. I am not sure this is due to the box or my TV.

Anyone has any idea how to fix this thing?

I have the same question. Is there any chance for the o!play air to flash?

If yes, must I only download and install the image or must I do something else before?
