I guess. In bootcode 23 presents the AES key. May be it puts to I2C chip?

Look at the pictures in the minimodding link I posted for you.

You need to remove the covers from O!Play (easy to do) to reveal the component side of the printed circuit board. Adjacent to the heat sink is a 4 pin "header", clearly marked gnd, rx, tx. Ignore the 3 volts power pin.

You connect the respective 3 wires from your serial cable to that header & follow the instructions to use the cable.

Hi,

I have boot code: 0202.0017. Firmware 1.33N - R1 Oplay. I downloaded your FW and trying to install it for the past 1 hour with various reset options I read from forms. Still no success. All kind of hard reset comes back to the setup screen only. I tried it thro' the menu and it complained that the FW is not for this board or something. Could someone please tell me how to flash this FW in bootcode 17 box? I really appreciate your help.

[UPDATE] I managed to install it now. :) I tricked the player into thinking that I am installing a normal FW (found the tip in Asus forum). First impression is nice. Thank you so much for your hard work.

Thanks,
sansu
