Eric is right.
ftp user disable for login. See x in password field
ftp:x:14:50:FTP User:/tmp/ramfs/nas-volumes/:/bin/sh

But it uses as default user for anonymous access

Hi Farvoice

I used the code provided by you and used the "reboot" command to reboot the unit. The unit restarted and installed the HD2 beta firmware without any problem. Thank you very much.
But the NAS is still not working. this time I saw the SAMBA is on in the NAS menu under Home. But from a Windows XP, I type the Unit ip, there is no external disk show up that attached to the unit.
Would you please give any advice?

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Excelent work, Jarre and Farvoice!! You Rule!

I've been trying this Beta and it's a charm. Samba works and the new interface is beautiful.

The only thing anoying me now, it that Bit Torrent Client doesn't work: I've enabled "BT Download" at NAS, I've gone to the Web interface to add torrents, but each time I add a new torrent (add a new job) my browser just stays blank and that torrent never appears at BT Info.

When I run a dmesg at the telnet console after adding torrents in the web site, I get :

==========================================================
do_page_fault() #1: sending SIGSEGV to bt_manager.cgi for invalid read access fr
om
323db7a6 (epc == 2acf99ac, ra == 2acf9748)
==========================================================

Can you help me? I'm running Farvoice's file, since my bootcode is the 17 one...

Cheers,
Vulcan

As usual - copy install.img to USB stick, put it to player, unplug power, press RESET button, plug power.
