anoher HD2 FW today,(Image-bin-101022-Flash-Certification.rar) strangly it won't start after install. The asus logo, then screen goes black and stays black...mmmhhmm wil have a closer look at it. also this FW has no NAS anymore..??

While Asus does not decide the final configuration of the firmware on SDK4 I do not see any reason to do anything on it. Next update might just nullify all previous achievements. Your gifts are only confirmed. I'm sorry.

I've looked at the firmware from selling HD2. This is an older version than the beta of Jarre - 10.01.00 on August 27. It just comment out those functions that do not function well and put on sale. Horror!
I think they very soon will release an update because it's HOW it works, should cause a wave of complaints.

That is surprising, FarVoice!

I see the NAS functions on Jarre's f/w no longer work in the background. If you have a file transfer in progress & change menu from NAS to something else, the file transfers end because their processes stop. I suppose Asus did it this way to give more cpu time to file transfers. They are faster than samba or ftp on the standard R1/R3 firmware.

Thanks for that link. I'm on bootcode 17, & as I bricked my player by trying to install Jarre's original file (I should have waited to see your comment :oops:

) & then had to find my serial cable, I had better wait until a more recent version
