Code: Select all
while true ; do
sleep 60
wget "http://your.site/your_playlist.m3u" -O /usr/local/etc/mos/www/modules/iptvlist/Playlist.m3u
sleep 240
done

Place it in rc.init and give attributes 755

Cool. Will try this tonight.

but I don't try it :)

Why not? Are you afraid?

P.s. And update all modules (in web interface) before it.

You mean in mos3 web interface, right?

This is a cool way of doing what I want but is it not possible to reload the playlists every time we launch IPTVList from the main menu?
This way, if we wanted to reload the playlists we would only need to exit IPTVList and then reopen IPTVList again.
What do you think? Is it doable?
Cheers

I'm not afraid - I do not need it.
To load playlist on enter in module you must write some script in Homemenu.rss & Guidemenu.rss or in IPTVList. So You can try if you know what to do.

I know, I was kidding you ;).

Hmmm...sounds like this is a job for hax, right?
I can't script which means I can't do it. Maybe hax can help.
I will ask him to read this topic. Maybe I'll catch his attention ;).
Thanks man.
Cheers

NO! Hax made IPTVList for himself. So it's not his problem. By the way, many people use Sayler's Media RSS instead IPTVList - so changing IPTVList don't satisfy all users.

And home menu is not his module ;)

I see. :?
But if hax won't do it, then I don't know who else can do it. :(
All I know is I can't do it because I don't know anything about scripting. :(
Do you have any suggestion?
Cheers

Pokrass, do you know someone that can help with the homemenu.rss changes so that all the *.m3u get updated from the internet each time we run IPTVList?

no :-(
I think it's not so difficult, but it takes time. I don't have it now.
You can try to use google to search templates for it or try to understand algorithm of weather downloading and try to use it for downloading lists or try to use it in IPTVList. I can't say any more... :(

Which is good news.

but it takes time. I don't have it now.

I completely understand you.
I haven't had much time lately too. The only difference is, you know what you're doing with this stuff while I don't have the slightest clue, lol.
Whenever you have some free time and you remember this topic, I would be very much appreciated if you could take a look at it and see if it is "do-able" ;).
For the time being, I'll live with it as it is: sync-on-bootup.
Cheers mate

Lol, I learned a little of BASIC and Pascal at school almost 20 years ago.
For all I know, scripting isn't a lot different than BASIC but the problem is I don't know how the system works.
For instance, I don't know it it has crontab in it. And I don't know if (or how) I can add crontab if it doesn't come with the system.
Crontab would be perfect for this feature.
But I promise I will take a look at homemenu.rss and guidemenu.rss and see what I can find.
I'll keep you posted ;)
Cheers
