NFS Mounting?

NFS Mounting?

Postby Chris » 30 Jul 2012, 21:51

Just thought I'd start a dedicated thread, since NFS is only touched on in other threads.

Am I correct in assuming that in order to mount an NFS share, we need to use a thumb drive? I can't seem to get any luck with the moServices 'mount' module over my network.

Yep. For some weird reason, mounting only works if you mount it on the usb.
They say this is an SDK4 bug or something.

Thanks, man! Guess I'll have to find the dinkiest thumb drive possible, just for purposes of mounting those shares!

Okay, so I stuck a usb key in there, and tried mounting to /tmp/usbmounts/sda1/nMovies (for nfs movies) and pointed it to my nfs share, using the Mounts plugin. No joy.
Can someone give me a hint or two on how to get nfs mounted?

It's a bug that prevents nfs to be mounted to /tmp.
The workaround consists in mounting it on a pendisk attached to your media player.
