I use DLNA (or UPnP) all the time and I never found an issue with it other than not showing external subtitles on MKV's. I use both minidlna and Universal Media Server as a DLNA servers.
As for shortcuts and favorites I have no idea.
But...I use AMP r10 while you use a modded Mini Plus FW. Not exactly the same.

No AMP firmwares for another chipset.
But hds42l gui is almost the same as mini_plus_mos

As for favorites and shortcuts, maybe Pokrass can help you. I think he's the main developer of the Mini Plus FW.

Hi again,

I have a problem. After starting the device, the weather information doesn't appear in the top right corner of the display, I have to click on an icon like Favorites or File Manager, and then step back to the Home Screen, and then in a few seconds the Wheather Info appears. Is there a way to display it without this manouver? Maybe a delay (I think my network is not ready, when the player tries to get weather info from the internet) somewhere in the HomeMenu.rss?

You wright. Your network is not ready, when the player tries to get weather. Maybe you use wi-fi connection.
Weather auto refresh every 10 minutes in menu. So you can just wait, or press "return" button to refresh HomeMenu.

p.s. And don't forget regularly update all modules and iconmenu too.

Hi,

I would like to mount a samba folder on the device using Mounts module, but I can't find a mount point to use. Is there a point to mount a network folder that is automatically scanned by the firmware (like a USB Storage). I would like to make my films on a NAS available in the Movies menu of the device.
