HowTo install:
1. flash any official FW via reset button
2. Install Mini_Plus_020500_r0 via USB upgrade viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1670#p34513
3. install Mini_Plus_mos firmware via USB upgrade


To update your Mini_Plus_mos_r6 to r7 via USB - write in telnet:

After inatallation you must update all modules via web-interface. Just press

- Added Samba (automatically starts if there is a flash drive or HDD)
- Added Transmission (disabled as default)
- Changes in Online Media: changed menu order, some new icons, some fixes in menu_orig.rss
- Facebook button on IR now launch simple browser with quick access to six sites. Here is Facebook from the original firmware.
- More bookmarks in browser
- 37.3 Mb free space in /usr/local/etc/.

If you have problems with auto closing warning window when player starts:
change in/usr/local/etc/remote/startRemote sleep from 10 to 13 or more.

upd 21.09.2012 Mini_Plus_mos_r3:
- patched RootApp (for correct power off)
- longer delay for auto pressing "cancel" button in OTG on start.
- fixed "error window" background
- fixed home button in big web-remote control

Can you explain this firmware?
Is this an AMP for O!play Mini or is this Asus Official Firmware just with mos3 already installed?
If this is not AMP (no HD2 and no POHD skins), can you post some pictures of how it looks like?
And what would I gain by using this FW instead of the stock FW that comes with the player?

This is a FW for Asus O!Play Mini Plus (RTL 1185 chipset) and it's no amp of course.
If you see FW like this, install hds42l skin on amp.

BTW, which chipset is better? 1073 or 1185?
What would be needed for you to build an AMP for the 1185 or any other more recent chipset?

1185 is newer, but not better
When you say "amp", what do you mean? Linux kernel, GUI (skins), skin selector or moServices3?
