New line of FW - AMP (r13)

First off, thanks to FarVoice and other developers to make this happen. I successfully flash amp pohd fw on my R3 but one of the bugs is annoying me is that I need to constantly plugin any USB drive to the player once it boots up to activate the WLAN. Also, if there is already USB drive plugged in during the boot up, I need to manually unplug and re-plug in again to trigger the WLAN.

So, I decided to move to amp hd2 fw to avoid such a thing.

Is there any way around to address this problem? What I really love of pohd fw is the movie cover. If there a way to enable the movie cover on hd2 fw? I will be glad to do it.

Thanks a lot,

I have this same issue too and its driving me nuts. Thought I was messing something up. Would be nice to not have to use a plain old usb in there to get wifi to work.

I'm doubting if this such a problem (need to constantly plugin USB drive to activate the WLAN) happens on R1. It would be nice if any R1 users can test this by inserting a compatible WiFI USB dongle to the player and then boot it up. If you're lucky, your WLAN dongle shall be automatically activated once the player is up. If not, can you try to pull out the dongle and put it back and see if it can be activated?

Thanks in advance...

Is this firmware working on Iconbit HDSL 6/7 or other clone players with 128Mb flash?

PlayOn Firmware is quite an improvement over Asus's. One issue I experience that nobody else seems to have though. I have Bootcode 23 PAL and flashed the firmware by soft reset. When I turn off the R1 , it does not shut off the USB drives, but keeps rebooting instead. This is especially acute when the IR script has been modified to assign SLOW function. Anyone has any idea why??

Upon the completion of flashing amp r6 pohd, I did power cycle off and on and found that my R3 can't boot up (pending at ASUS logo). To resolve the problem, I did recover by holding reset button and powering cycle. But this time, I decided to go with amp r6 hd2.
