New line of FW - AMP (r13)

I would like to decide upon installing alternative FW to my HD2, because it does not able NAS support at the same time with playing media. Also bittorrent and access to internal HD could be granted at the same time.

I´ve searched for simple list of features of FW or skins, but have not really found one. So I don´t know if above is possible with AMP. Could you list the main features of R5, to see the main benefits of that one over Asus FW. Aslo, main screenshots to illustrate those would be great.

This is a good idea. I think it should be the responsibility of some English-speaking member of the community. Anyone want to volunteer?

For all,who wrote the last 4 posts - AMP is the further development of the ASUS_HD2_11206_r5 firmware
Instead of pohd try hd2.

About NAS- How much is a separate NAS-server? And how much is the player? Do not demand the impossible...

amp_r5_pohd on HDP-r1 - no audio

Postby BenLuca » 30 Oct 2011, 21:03

thank you for your hard work.

I tried the amp_r5_pohd firmware on my HDP-r1.
It looks realy cool. I love it. Especially Youtube (in English).

There is only one big problem. Maybe you can help:

I got no audio

************************************
I tried the hd2 skin firmware and no problem there.
Audio just working fine.

Ok, Today I've update from 5.1 to amp.

I have seen one change ->after every off and on player i've got a new letter for usb disk, for example:
sda... off on
and i've got:
sdb... off on
and i've got:
sde...

for samba and ftp it's misleading

for samba from moS3 it does not matter - it get devices from /tmp/ramfs/volumes
