Hello,

i use the newest Firmware "amp_r12_vrtn_r7" with "PytaCZ" as GUI. My problem is that my Asus OPlayHD2 reboot when switching off and then proceeds to disk format. Anyone else here with the same problem?

Hello!
I was using the fw AMP (r12), installed throught telnet (Hard reset do not work on my oplay hdp-r1) and i was looking for the GUI and i choosed the option no GUI, without any options the screen went black, and lost the connection to oplay from network.
Tried to log into oplay with telnet and moservices manager, and it tells me failed connection.
During oplay restart the asus logo is visible, but gets back after it. Hard reset do not work, and i can't find a way to reserse it.
On my router the r1 gets ip, change the ip range, and it got a new ip, but the problem persists.
Anyone can help me?

I am new on this things. i have a hd2 o play and i have installed the AMP r12 software with success, when i was going thrue the menus i changed an skin option ( not screen resolution) and then i can not see any picture on the tv , neider in hdmi or via video plug on the tv.

What do i have done wrong.
Can you helpe me please. Thanks

You select noGUI skin. Of course you dont see anything on your tv.
Go to player web-interface (enter player ip in internet browser on your computer) and change skin via Resources--skin selector.

I installed today the new line R12 on my HD2. Thank you farvoice, the software is amazing! No problems at all.

like others before I istalled FW 12 on my hdp-r1, suceeded in receiving contact over my Lan with Fritz-box as router to the internet,received IP-Adress over DHCP) and finally crashed the box with selecting nogui-Skin. Now I cannot get on the box with telnet, because I dont know the IP-Adress.The Fritz-box menue shows one old IP and tells me, that the box is connected but has no access. Hard-reset does not work, I made several attempts with different firmwares and USB-Sticks.Former updates of firmware were always made using the menue of the software.

Is there any hope to get the box working again?

Probably, you have an oldest R1 with 14 boot (judging by the lack of reaction to the reset button) . You are lucky the second in this forum . One way to restore the player - buy USB-to-TTL cable, disassemble the player, connect to console, entry to realtek monitor and execute erase -m command.
