Thanks for all the help! I have been able to switch to the xtr270 skin on R12. The VTR skin is quicker, there is not doubt about that, but I prefer to see the size of the files and folders, ease of access to subtitles, control of the fan without having to insert lines of code, more lines displayed on the screen for the file manager.

I haven't tested the xtreamering menu fully but the few times I tried it I could not access the moservices menu, only the old xtr-pro xtreamering menus which aren't of much use imho. It works well from the PC though and Samba is also good, for Windows explorer access.

Don't overquote please!!!

i used to get it a few times on older amp fw's. atm i am using r11.

personally on mk1 xpro skin is fastest. you'll notice how vrt and hds42l players will start running out of ram (and responsiveness) on more complex videos (high res + high bitrate). at some point you'd have to wait 3 minutes till player would react to remote's commands.

so far, xpro is only one that has plenty features and performs really well across all kinds of videos.

Hi everyone , does anyone have any Samsung device with ir-blaster and has managed to use the phone or tablet as a remote control?

I tried with Peel application that comes by default but the player is not in the device list.
Before trying like crazy to all applications on the Google Play I was wondering if anyone knows of any that works.

Thank you !

there is a remote control page somewhere in the moservices menu that should do everything you need. not sure if it works with every skin, though.

Thank you yoshi314 ;-)
I know we have many options to control our player from remote, actually I use the module called "Capture TV", and other mini-remote from the url: <device_ip>/rc.html

The problem is that mini-remote don't have all the buttons (and I need << button to open Youtube options lateral menu), and "Capture TV" it's so slow on my player (Asus O!Play) because every time you push a button on the virtual controller, the page refreshes and another full-hd capture has to be made and send to your mobile device.

So, as I have a Galaxy tablet with a built-in ir-blaster, I thought could be the easiest way to remote control the player, if any app for android has the codes of the original remote controller.

Maybe somebody has tried this before and knows what app can be used.

Again, thank you for your help mate.

Quote myself just to comment that I found was I looking for.
As maybe other people can be interested, the app "Anymote Smart IR Remote" does work very well.
Just search on the database, in "Game/Media Manager" category for Asus or ACRyan, you will get a grid with all the buttons.
From there, you can go with the default grid or edit your custom remote controller (position, appearence, colours, texts, etc).

Been trying v12. Works fine on my R1, except I can't find the button for "operations." Hence I cannot copy rename or delete files on my HDD. Used to work on R11. Anyone can pitch in on this?

Hi,
I would like to buy a 4 TB hard drive, but I have a question: the latest firmware (Amp r12) works with 4 TB hard drives?
I currently use a 2 TB on a Asus oplay HD2 with amp_r12_vrtn_r7.
