Hello,

I would like to have some help with my Xtreamer (the first model).
My problem I can't update the firmware through the usb because the usb connections doesn't work anymore.
I tried several usb flash just in case without success...

Is there a possibility to do an update in a different way ?

And my second problem, now the device is not working anymore. I have the error "dhcp is not ready".

I would like to have very much a way to update and have a stable firmware.

I found R12 fiwmare but file is very small and is name is amp_r12_nogui.zip is there a R12 with VRT embended or should i do a seprate upgrade, if so i can't found any dwnload related to VRT skin, could you please give me a dowload link with necessary commands to achieve this upgrade.

You must firstly install amp_r12 noGUI, connect your player to internet (vai lan) and then reload skins and install vrt gui via interface on your tv screen.

I try to install this firmware on my device.

I tried with the reset button and image file on usb stick. Nothing happenned and nothing is displayed on the tv.

Am I correct or something wrong ?

And if your player is Asus R1/R3/HD2 - update bootcode before installing firmware viewtopic.php?f=12&t=98

If your player is MiniPlus/MediaPro/TVpro, AMP firmware is not compatible for your player! It's firmware for 1073/1283 chipset only.

any tips on how to compile custom apps for the device?

i use a subtitle downloader script on my device, but it's sometimes inaccurate with fps. i hoped to have mkvinfo or mediainfo, but it's not available in typical repositories.

Hello to All,

My knowledge on these things is limited but I was able to install R12 on my mk1 xtreamer with the VTR skin. I previously had R8 with Xtr Pro skin which I liked very much. VTR is also very good but if anyone can help I appreciate any guidance you can offer on the following topics. I apologize in advance if any of the questions are obvious fixes for you:

1. Is there any way to show the files in file manager as a list (showing size for each file)? I find this easier to deal with than the thumbnail view VTR and other skins have, specially when you have many movie folders;
2. In moservices or just in Windows 8, is there a way to connect to the Xtreamer via wifi and see the contents as with explorer? When I use the FTP function in moservices I can only download from xtreamer, not edit folders or copy content to it (I'm sure I must be doing something wrong here);
3. Is there any way to make xtreamer show on TV a movie I'm watching on my laptop (similarly to what would happen with airplay if it worked with xtreamer)?
4. How can I control the fan speed on the xtreamer?
5. Is it possible to adapt the XTR PRO 270 skin menus to R12 for xtreamer mk1 users?
