Authorization module locked me out

Authorization module locked me out

Postby maniosus » 04 Sep 2012, 13:37

Having read about trojans I installed the authorization module from MOS. I entered a password and my player did a reset. But now I am locked out. Apparently the password I entered was not correct, or some other malfunction happened when setting the password.

So now I am locked out of my O!play. I tries removing the module in de services menu on my television. Unfortunately this did not reset the password.

Please help!

remember password :) Or reflash player.
If you remember password, log to player via telnet and execute command
Code: Select all
passwd root

and set an new password

For remobe password try the command
Code: Select all
passwd -d root

Thnks for the quick reply farvoice!

I made a typo. I tried the password with different typos over and over again and finally found it :) So now I reset the password and everything is ok again.

Maybe Authorization should have a enter password twice (2x) option, for people like me who make typos in there passwords.
