Postby lbzg555 » 10 Jul 2012, 17:26

Hi,

Can someone please explain in this post fully with details what needs to be done to watch tv from rtsp, rtmp, futubox, webtv, and other known sources? Let's assume that someone just bought brand new HDP-R1 and wanna watch internet tv from links I have mentioned.

I think that only developers of this software can answer correctly so let them do this so this can be a big detailed guide for everyone without ton's of questions.

Developers, please put it in large post with numbered steps what to follow for successful result.

This is something that this forum needs urgently. :-)

I have tried and nothing...tried 4 methods and links I can regulary play on my PC (VLC) I can't on my R1. All items that are found in those links are installed in mos3 and links still don't work...there are tons of different links out here and what do I need to look for? What links will work and what will not? Do I need to change every link (I don't have a ASUS500g router)? How to change them? Does someone knows links that work or are regulary updated?

Do you have UDPxy module installed?
If not, please install UDPxy module in moS3.
All mms streams should work and most RTMP streams should work.
Veetle, Sopcast, or any other P2P IPTV will not work even if it works in VLC.
There are some new RTMP service providers that actually do P2P. Those won't work too. I can't remember their names but I think ucast is one of them.

If you mean:

UDP-to-HTTP Proxy v1.0b19-Chipmunk

Than yes, I have it installed.

I know that veetle, sopcast, futubox and other like them wouldn't work. But all that are streaming from http, rtsp, rtmp, mms, mmsh without code provider aren't working either...I can watch some (orf, vox, and other boring channels but these main that all this is about --> sport (like sky and alyazeera), xxx (hustler,spice,redlight,...), documentary (discovery, animal planet, nat geo), movies (sky, syfy,...) I can't...it is impossible and If someone can watch them please tell me how...details with steps...please...

These are instaled modules and services:

pShare uPnP playlist browser 0.0.2rc2
UDP-to-HTTP Proxy v1.0b19-Chipmunk
vsFTPd FTP daemon v2.2.2
AutoRun
IR Fake RC replacement v1.2.13
Remote date and time sync
Remount drives
Skin selector for HD2 revs
RSS Ex 2.0.11 r606
Sayler's Media RSS

And when will someone update links on horosho, glavnoe and sayler? What is pass for sovok tv?

Please share your knowledge... :-)

Wrong. While Veetle and Sopcast don't work, Futubox does work if you have a valid user account.

You can watch ORF and VOX so you have IPTVxtra properly installed.
All the other ones that you are complaining are from IPTV lists that need to be updated regularly due to their content being very popular. Due to that, they don't work on my end either.
You see, the more popular a channel is the more protected it is by its owner.
Sometimes you can watch it for a couple of hours but then the guy that is sharing the channel with us needs to stop using that URL/account and that's when we lose access to the channel.
The streamer keeps opening accounts on other IPTV broadcasting servers everyday so that channel owner can't catch him doing it.
What can we do? We can only:
- pay Futubox (if it isn't a scam).
- learn to discover RTMP URLs with RTMPDumpHelper (google) on popular IPTV sites (*).
- keep looking for streams that are not volatile like Wilmaa's streams.

(*) - if you know a site with lots of Flash (RTMP) IPTV streams it is very likely that you can maybe use RTMPDumpHelper on those streams to learn their URL. Then you just need to create a playlist to use with IPTVxtra.

One piece of advise: calm down and maybe people will try to help you. If you shoot in every direction people will lose interest in your queries and start ignoring you ;).
Don't think you'll learn all this in a week. It will take time, will take a lot of your patience and some of our patience too.

Thank you for your help and for a advice. Sorry if I have been pushy, I didn't mean it. I'm just trying to figure it out. It is confusing when guides are based on questions not on guide like when you install a program and everything is explained instantly...yes I will try to learn as I can. :-)

If I can ask a question...that rtmpdump...I have bee reading something about it, even I download some files but really dont know how to use it, I have visited http://all-streaming-media.com/record-v ... cation.htm
but I really don't understand them. If someone knows how to use it please share it. :-)

Wise words. I guess you are not alone, we are all learning it using baby steps.
And remember, even if some of us here are developers (I'm not) that doesn't mean that we know everything.

What exactly don't you know about it?
It is all pretty simple if you ask me.
You take RTMPDumpHelper, you run it on a website to sniff an RTMP url.
In it's running directory, it generates a "Command.bat" file with the full rtmpdump to save that stream to a file.
Say your "Command.bat" looks like this (free-to-air channel also available on it's own website):
Code: Select all
rtmpdump -r "rtmp://213.13.26.40/live/" -a "live/" -f "WIN 11,3,300,262" -W "http://www.tvdez.com/player-licensed6.swf" -p "http://www.tvdez.com/sicnoticias" --live -y "sicnoticias" -o "sicnoticias.flv"

If you run this CLI command in the directory where you have rtmpdump.exe it will save a live stream to a file named "sicnoticias.flv".
If instead of saving it you just want to watch it, download and install VLC 1.1.11 (it has to be this version because 2.x has a big bug with playing RTMP streams). You can use the portable version from portableapps.com if you don't want to install it or if you already have 2.x installed and you want to have 1.1.11 at the same time.
Now run a slightly different version of the above command:
Code: Select all
rtmpdump -r "rtmp://213.13.26.40/live/" -W "http://www.tvdez.com/player-licensed6.swf" -p "http://www.tvdez.com" --live -y "sicnoticias" -o - | c:\path_to_vlc_1.1.11\vlc.exe -

Don't forget to change c:\path_to_vlc_1.1.11\vlc.exe with the proper path to vlc.exe. And please note the hyphen (-) in the end of the command line. You need to use it or this will fail to work.
Cheers

Will this new url work in R1 with HD2 skin? All I need is how to make a stream working in R1. I have tried to sniff urls with urlhelper but they can work in VLC but when I'm send them to R1 they just don't work. For interaction with R1 I use Pyro's software from this site.
