It's working also for Xtreamer remote!

I still have a problem with this module.
The feeds are visible, but I can not play any videos.

ACRyan tweeted 22.6.2012 that they have released a new beta firmware, which "fixes the youtube problem".
Can you find out and include this fix into your fine Youtube module?

Thanks
Kaiffari

Му module is based on Google API, not on firmware. May be you have old version - I changed module without changing revision. Try delete module and install it again.

In the web gui, (http://your_player_ip) there's a button for refreshing the modules list.
You have to click on that button for updating the list.
Then you will see the module and it will be possible to update it.
Cheers

Actually I have the same problem (on ASUS O!Play R1 with amp_r8_hd2). I installed the YouTube module yesterday (so it is the newest one, as I did not use one before), and I can see all categories, and preview pictures for all the content, but when I click any picture link the video is not played, and the message displays "Cannot play the file".

Just letting you know. If anybody knows a solution please post it.
YouTube is not a priority for me at all but I simply prefer to have control over my equipment, not vice versa

EDIT:
The solution posted by Gerhard worked for me. Thanks!

HowTo: YouTube not work - new rssex plugin pack

Now both the regular YouTube plugin, and the Russian plugin inside RSSex work correctly - videos play without a problem.
